High, Good People
A potcast. For the industry. For the culture.
High, Good People is a “potcast” that explores the historical, social and cultural relationships between people of color and cannabis in the new age of legalization. The show is hosted and produced by Tiara Darnell, a freelance journalist and multimedia producer, Oregon’s Budtender of the Year 2017, and a finalist for Spotify’s inaugural Sound Up Bootcamp for emerging women of color podcasters.

A NOTE FROM THE CREATOR
This podcast had a short & sweet run. I’m incredibly proud of it. A lot of the skills I use daily in audio production were honed working on this passion project. Many people have asked why I stopped producing it? The answer is, I accomplished everything I wanted to with it, and put it to rest when it was no longer serving me to keep making it: I learned how to produce a quality, narrative audio experience from end to end, out of 18,000 applicants, it helped me land one of ten spots in the 2018 inaugural Spotify Sound Up Bootcamp, it won me my first big award for journalism & producing audio, and then, in 2020, it helped me land my first full-time job as a podcast producer for Spotify. I’m grateful for everything it’s taught me and brought me.
